1. Who may receive messages?
Send commercial messages only to recipients who knowingly and affirmatively requested this type of email. Unsolicited prospecting, purchased lists, scraped directories, harvesting public emails, and adding people without their consent are prohibited.
An existing business relationship or a publicly available email address alone does not automatically establish permission for marketing.
2. Proof of consent
For every imported recipient, the app requires an opt-in status, a dated consent event, a consent source, and a proof/reference (such as a signup form record ID). Invalid or missing evidence is rejected. These records are supplied by the importing account; EasyMailMerge does not independently authenticate the evidence. Users must keep accurate evidence and honor consent withdrawal.
3. Enforced technical restrictions
- API verifies the signed-in account before any campaign action.
- Unverified/missing opt-in data cannot enter a campaign.
- Each outgoing message is rechecked against current consent and suppression records.
- Global per-sender unsubscribe suppression and signed one-click unsubscribe.
- Manual campaign review and explicit acknowledgment before launching.
- Conservative per-account daily cap and controlled sending pace.
- Automatic pause on sending error; no automatic retry of ambiguous deliveries.
- Gmail authorization requires a separate OAuth permission and is disabled until properly authorized.
No software can fully establish the truthfulness of user-supplied consent evidence. Additional operational review and abuse monitoring should be added before a public launch.
4. Sender responsibilities
Senders are responsible for accurate identity, truthful subject lines, relevant content, valid domain authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC as appropriate), Google sender guidelines, applicable laws, monitoring complaints and unsubscribes, and respecting their provider's sending limits. No app limit overrides Gmail limits.
5. Abuse reports
Report unwanted email or request suppression at [email protected]. Include the message details if possible. Abuse can lead to suspended access after investigation.
